New Software installed

Hi everyone. I have installed the latest version of PGV, this should give a much more user friendly editing experience for those who want to contribute to building the tree.

Unfortunately, I boobed and didn't save the old user database file. Therefore you'll have to register again. Sorry!

The new family Tree should NOT show names or details of any still living persons, unless you are logging in as a valid member of the Tree. If you are in anyway connected to our family tree, then you can request an account and contribute to this project. As a registered member, you will be able to suggest additions, edits and deletions to records. Also, you will be able to see details of living individuals that are directly related to you, i.e. up to three steps away. Which also means that you'll be able to use the rather cool 'relationship' mapping tool to see how you are related to me, or even King Henry VIII and William the Conqueror!

To register as a relative ‎(that will enable you to view more details and suggest edits)‎, follow the log-in link and then the create new account link. N.B. If I don't know you personally, then you'll have to tell me how you actually link to us.

I have added a whole chunk of Bickersteths. I'm not 100% percent certain of exactly how they are linked to Ruth so perhaps you ‎(Ruth)‎ or Niall can check it out :-)

I was prompted to add Bickersteth because I came across a very interesting 1891 census listing linking a Bickersteth to the Earl of Ashburnham. I haven't found that link yet but more interesting for me is that I now have the Drummonds on the tree, who of course were last seen fleeing Pitsford Hall just prior to WW2. I have only added one Drummond so far, I need to look up some stuff in the book of the Drummonds that I have in school.

While I am fairly confident that the people listed here are correctly attached to their parents and/or spouses, putting together a tree as extensive as this one is very much like completing a jigsaw puzzle. Occaisionally, some pieces will be put in the wrong place. If you spot an error, please contact me so that I can correct it.
