Bought from Edinburgh Cycle Exchange for ‘her indoors’, but because it had drops she didn’t want it. I could have changed to bars but it seemed easier to buy her another one and I could use this as a touring bike. A fairly heavy bike, aluminium frame, study wheels and mid-range equipment.
Tours: Cuba (April 2011), Flanders (June 2012), Normandy (July 2013)

Frame: Double butted 7005 aluminium with rack and mudguard eyelets.
Forks: CrMo steel w/disc mount and low rider bosses.
Wheels: Rigida Taurus 2000 double-wall rims for discs, Shimano 475 hubs for disc brakes; cassette freehub rear. 36 x stainless steel spokes.
Tyres: Continental Country Ride 700×37 (635g) 58psi rec/70psi max from new, replaced 29 Dec 2012 with – Bontrager Race All Weather Plus 700×28 (380g) 100-120psi. The Country Rides have done ~2500 miles and suffered only one puncture each, still look OK.
Transmission: Shimano Sora 3×9-speed Dual Control shifters, Deore rear mech / Sora front mech, Shimano M443 26/36/48 chainset. Cartridge sealed bottom bracket. Shimano 11-32 cassette.
Brakes: Avid BB5 Road mechanical disc brakes; 160mm rotor front / 140mm rotor rear. Shimano Sora levers.
Handlebars: Kalloy drop bars 440mm wide x 31.8mm centre on Kalloy Aheadstem. Velo cork grips.
