A fairly heavy bike, aluminium frame, study wheels and mid-range equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tours: Cuba (April 2011), Flanders (June 2012), Normandy (July 2013)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Tools needed: 4,5,6 allen keys, 10mm spanner, T25 star driver, small X-head.)<\/p>\n<p>Frame: Double butted 7005 aluminium with rack and mudguard eyelets.<\/p>\n<p>Forks: CrMo steel w\/disc mount and low rider bosses.<\/p>\n<p>Wheels: Rigida Taurus 2000 double-wall rims for discs,\u00a0Shimano 475 hubs for disc brakes; cassette freehub rear.\u00a036 x stainless steel spokes.<\/p>\n<p>Tyres: Continental Country Ride 700&#215;37 (635g) 58psi rec\/70psi max from new, replaced 29 Dec 2012 with &#8211; Bontrager Race All Weather Plus 700&#215;28 (380g) 100-120psi. The Country Rides have done ~2500 miles and suffered only one puncture each, still look OK.<\/p>\n<p>Transmission: Shimano Sora 3&#215;9-speed Dual Control shifters,\u00a0Deore rear mech \/ Sora front mech,\u00a0Shimano M443 26\/36\/48 chainset.\u00a0Cartridge sealed bottom bracket.\u00a0Shimano 11-32 cassette.<\/p>\n<p>Brakes: Avid BB5 Road mechanical disc brakes; 160mm rotor front \/ 140mm rotor rear. Shimano Sora levers.<\/p>\n<p>Handlebars: Kalloy drop bars 440mm wide x 31.8mm centre on Kalloy Aheadstem.
